My Story

John Lee was discovered in the mountains, apparently dumped in a rural area. He sat on a porch & got fed. His life was in jeopardy & many rescuers stepped up & Love Mutts Rescue was able to foster him. Almost adopted, he now needs a new foster & new home! ? John Lee/Buddy is a sweet, smart, goofy 5 yr old coonhound who was skin & bones. He is now a healthy size~is crate & house trained. He knows basic commands & is learning others like “come” “stay”. He loves playing with other pups & dogs. He has had 2 homes & may be a bit confused, which has caused him to be unsure. We know he will do fine when he is more settled. We are looking for a NEW foster who is home lots, a fenced yard, another playful dog. Contact Marli or sign up on www.lovemuttsrescue.org >>John Lee, the male dog: "Hi, my name is John Lee, I am a very good boy! I am friendly, affectionate, love getting lots of attention from my humans. I love going on walks. I have lots of love to give, am very eager to find my furever home. I warm up quickly when I realize that people will love me. I cannot wait to meet my forever humans!" This dog got alot of attention on FB, as the finder was not from NC. There was no one to take him but thank you to ALL who shared & Pawfect Match for more than transporting him to LMR & our foster in Durham. He is gently, easy going & a sweet dog who loves to be w/his people & have a fenced yard to explore. He likes a doggy door.
