Johnny *Pitbull Terrier mix * 11 months and 33 lbs. "Heeeere's Johnny!!!!" If you are OLD like some of us are, then you understand this intro! If not, this BIG welcoming totally suits the style of our fun-loving, bouncy, silly guy. Johnny is not one for example to sit still so when he lays eyes on you, he's coming over pronto to love on you! He makes a prettybig splash/entrance so hang on and be prepared for some intenselap time, kissy time and just overall lovin' good time! At 11mos of age, Johnny still has a strong puppy/teen vibe to him as he scoots around exploring and acting like a busy bee finding so many things to check out and investigate. He can be a little nibbly/mouthy so we're working withhim towards slightly better behavior in thatarea and we're finding a treat or two can go a long way with him. Johnny is great on the leashand is a very proud and confident little guy. He can be a little bossy around other dogs but seems to be less on edge the more we are getting him out and just walking him with other dogs. He's learning it's ok to take it down a notch and share his walk with other 4 leggeds. Whilehe might still have some growing to do, one might guess he won't be a very large dog and his compact cuteness will serve him well into the future as an adult. On TV, Johnny (think Johnny Carson) was a huge hit and beloved by so many and we'd like to think our Johnny is destined for the same level of greatness. Facebook Update July 4: "Heeeere's Johnny!!!!" Our newer arrival is 11mos old, he's full of himselfand ready to hop in your lap, give you kisses and tell you, you are the best! Sounds like your kind of patriotic pup? Let's hear from you!! Facebook Update July 9: Go JOHNNY go!! Our busy bee boy Johnny was just featured on our page all decked out in his 4th regalia and ready to go home, but alas he's still with us. Well, Boo Hoo! Johnny's spirit is luckily very much intact and we discovered today his love for our kiddie pool. He hopped right in and enjoyed a much needed splish splash after a walk with Volunteer Pam. Pam even got our Mr Handsome to wear the highly coveted pink eyewear but only for a second...at best! Way to go Pam and Johnny! Note: Johnny is 11mos old, 35lbs (all solid love!) and he's ready to go and do!! Facebook Update July 28: Raise you paw if you think JOHNNY has been super patient and loving and just an all around good guy and should now go home!! Ooooh, see lots of raised paws, now let's make it happen! Johnny is keeping our volunteers busy as they get him out and about and love on him. He's been super in interacting with other dogs, but this teen pooch (Ooops, now a year old under our care!) is growing up right before our eyes and needs a home. Check him out won't you??
