Famed for their striking coats and mesmerizing eyes, these dogs are more than just their good looks. As the cherished state dog of Louisiana, the Catahoula is highly praised for its intelligence, obedience, and easygoing nature. Joker came to our rescue as a young pup and keeps getting looked over. Unfortunately he is experiencing Black Dog Syndrome, where black dogs are constantly over looked in the shelter/rescue world due to their color and not standing out.
