My Story

For my Petfinder.com friends, please contact the Shelter at (248) 858-1070 for more information. My ID number is 339004 I am available for adoption; however due to my breed my adoption will have to be facilitated through a rescue organization. Please see the front desk staff or contact the Shelter at (248) 858-1070 for more information. Meet Jolie! Very sweet girl Eager to please Likes to be with people Ready to learn Wants her very own family American Pit Bulls are a misunderstood breed; for this reason, we implore adopters to these beautiful dogs to be very vigilant in training and socialization. This breed is very energetic and will need daily exercise. Because of their strength and energy, apartment living may not be the best fit. This breed can be loving, loyal and very smart. The above behaviors and personality traits have been observed while at the Shelter. If this animal was relinquished, information is gathered from the owner regarding behavior. Our wonderful volunteers spend time with these animals and give input on behaviors and traits. However, this description may not be all inclusive to how this animal will act in a loving forever home. Introduction to established family pets should be slow and monitored always. The same goes for children and other family members. Adopting a pet is a big decision and should be thoughtful. We suggest researching different breeds to match traits and personalities to your lifestyle. When adopting a pet, please know that this pet will be with you for their lifetime; patience and consistency will make for a successful adoption. Jolie did test positive for heart worm disease and is currently in treatment. She is on restricted activity for the duration of her treatment. It is very important to have your pets on heart worm preventative; this simple preventative measure will ensure that you and your pet avoid a very unpleasant and costly experience. **Age is estimated** -CURRENTLY BEING TREATED FOR HEART WORM DISEASE- Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 75.2lbs Age: 7yrs 4mths 0wks Animal has been Spayed
