Josie is a sweet and gentle girl. She's long and lean and loves to run, leap, and fly! She enjoys walks by the creek, wading into the water and inspecting the shore for "varmints". She's well-behaved on a leash and knows her basic commands.

Josie is a happy dog and likes everyone she meets. She plays well with other dogs. She finds cats to be extremely interesting. If they run, she will chase. If the cat holds its ground, she ignores it.

She is seeking an active family, a family that either takes long walks most days, or that runs. She’d enjoy hiking and camping and loves swimming. She’d probably do well in Agility work or artificial lure coursing. She is intelligent and intuitive.

Josie has jumped a six foot fence in the past. The physical fence has now been reinforced with an invisible fence that runs through it. She is, as mentioned, intelligent, and will notice if the battery in her collar has died. Therefore, her family will need to set up a schedule for replacing batteries to keep them from running out. An invisible fence is included, if needed, with her adoption.
