Josie came to PAWS from an inner city shelter where she had been found as a stray. Tentative and wary at first, we weren't sure what to expect. However we have found over the past several months that she is super smart. longs to be someone's companion, learns quickly and walks like a dream on leash, right by your side. She's responsive and very food motivated so if there are distractions while out on a walk, all it takes is mentioning her name quietly and she sits at attention at your side!
She has the most expressive stand-up ears, and her markings are unique and adorable. At about 50 lbs., she falls into the medium category. Josie would do best in a home without other animals as she does want all the attention to herself, but if you love to work with a smart dog and can give Josie a home where she will feel safe, you will have a best friend. She also adores rides in the car and sits quietly. Please meet her and give her a chance!
