!!Due to current regulations, dogs belonging to rescues and shelters in DE can't leave the state if they're already in it, or enter it if they're outside of it. This regulation is in place until 8/13/24 (at least). Please keep this in mind when applying to adopt. Name: Jossie Breed: Mixed breed Age: 3 years Sex: Female Weight: 50ish pounds Medical Needs: none Housebroken: Yes, she has not gone potty inside since being here. Crate Trained: She is quiet all night long and has no problem being in her crate while we are gone and at work. Once you get up in the morning and start moving around for the day she will quickly remind you she is in her crate and wants out. Good in the car: she lays down and is very quiet in the car but will start to shake a little if she's unsure of where she is going. As we have taken her out for car rides she has started to get better. Good on Leash: She will pull a little if she's excited and wants to go a certain direction other then that she walks just fine on the leash Energy Level: medium/high Need fenced yard: No, but recommended to release some energy since she is a big dog! Dog Friendly: Yes, she has been perfectly fine with the dogs in our house. If yes, does he need another dog in the home: No Cat Friendly: unsure, I have not seen her around cats but I really doubt she would have a problem with them. If adopter has cats I would be more then willing to cat test her before the meet to be sure. Kid Friendly: Yes, she currently is in a home with a 3 and 7 year old. She loves them but you will need to remember she is a tall dog so some younger kids are nervous with larger dogs coming towards them to say hello. If yes, what age: no restriction Special traits that others should know about your foster: Jossie came to Delaware just a few short weeks ago but she has melted the hearts of everyone she's met. She is a super sweet and lovable dog who knows no stranger. This girl will keep you laughing with her long body stretches she does constantly or her many kisses she has to give you each day. Jossie has little burst of energy where she loves to run around outside in a fenced in yard but then will come in and plop on the ground in front of the fan to quickly cool down. This girl has been a pleasure to have as a foster but we can't wait to see what lucky family will adopt her out as their own. The only requirement she has is that you have a nice chew bone or a toy she can chew on and she will be the happiest dog in the world.
