My Story

A 16-month-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, Journee's name came from the English word for "journey," or a trip of some kind. This name suits her well because her life so far has been a journey, the destination being a loving forever home. Journee's foster saw her in the kill shelter, pulled her out, and brought her home and into rescue. She was 5 months old then, about 10 months old now, and in the 5 months since her rescue, she has grown almost to her full size of 55 pounds. Her short coat is tricolor, but mostly white, and her eyes big and brown and hopeful. She loves children, other dogs, and even cats. Being adopted would mean the end of her journey because she would have found you WAITING FOR HER at home. (TN,7/30/24) (REVISED 12/10/23) (age updated 6/19/24 ME) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption Fee/Transport Fee: $250.00 We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.
