Joy

Joy is a pure bred shorthaired border collie, 2 years old. She is energetic and playful. She is a fun family pet. She likes playing tug and fetch, and would make a good agility dog if you wanted to teach her tricks. She has lived outside full time with her sister from the same litter, Pretty, with access to five acres on which they happily roam and play. She gets along well with our four boys, ages 915, as well neighboring kids and adults. She has no fear of strangers and is friendly with everyone. Ideally, a new home would offer lots of outdoor time and space like she is accustomed to. She could live indoors with outside time, but may not be compatible with smaller pets because of her strong prey drive, and will need to be house trained. She is familiar with basic commands such as her name, come, sit, lie down, wait, and thank you (break word), yet she will need reinforcement training. She has a chewing habit that will need to be satiated or redirected. Her sister Pretty is also up for adoption, but because they have littermate aggression tendencies, it has been suggested re-homing them separately.
