My Story

Joy is a black female who came to PugHearts from a breeder in the Rio Grande Valley. She is extremely wary of humans and does not trust anyone without patience and time. Considered almost feral. She has started playing with other pugs and is gaining some social skills with other dogs but will only barely trust the person who feeds her. From most people, she will run away and find a place where she cannot be captured easily. She eats and sleeps in a crate (because she is made to) and is not house broken, though she knows how to use a dog door and will sometimes go out on her own. She is on eye drops for dry eye, which will need to be administered twice daily for the rest of her life. She will slowly build trust with someone who becomes familiar over time with extreme patience. Continue to follow her journey as we work with her to help her develop trust with people. Age: 4 Years Color: Black Weight: 13 Lbs Spayed - Yes Heartworm negative
