Jude

Questions about our adoption process can generally be answered by reviewing the Adoption FAQ's. This happy boys name is Jude. Jude is a 3 yr old Yellow lab/Shepherd mix that weighs 95 lbs and stands 27 inches tall. He is neutered and UTD on his shots. Jude was found by a good Samaritan about a month ago and has been kept outside in a 6 ft fence and he does not get out. With that said we do not know if he is house trained. Jude is currently living with 3 small dogs and tries to play with them, but he is too big for them. He did great with a large dog at our office, but he got too much in her face to play and she snapped at him and he reacted very nicely and just backed way. He has no exposure to cats that we are aware of. Jude has been around a 2 yr old child and Jude was nice with him and let the child pet him. Jude is a very sweet large young man, that loves attention and people. He likes to go on walks and play with toys. He does okay on a leash, but could use a little more work in that dept. He does know to sit. Jude also gets nervous on car rides, will pant and drool. This guy is unsure about coming into the house, but would love to be an inside dog so he can be with his person as part of the family. If you would just love to have Jude as a companion and have the time to give him a loving forever home where he can continue with some training, please fill out our dog adoption application at www.yvpr.org/adoptions. Thank you. An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator. If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
