A volunteer received an email advertising 'free puppies.' [For those of us trying to care for unwanted pets and trying to curb the pet overpopulation problem, those two words are very scary! You never know where free puppies will end up. Even those who do end up in the homes of good folks with the best of intentions can allow accidents to happen (hence these pups), and large dogs especially do not fare well in our state's shelters.] Upon seeing that these puppies were being given away without being spayed or neutered or receiving their all-important vaccinations, we contacted the woman who owned them and offered to take them and place them for her through our organization. In return for us placing the puppies for her, the owner agreed to spay the momma dog at one of our local veterinarians so that there will no more danger of puppies like these ending up in our area's shelters... or worse!
When they came into the program, the pups went straight to the vet for their first exams and vaccinations, then home with one of our foster families. However, a few days later, disaster struck - all four puppies came down with parvo. Weak and sick, the puppies spent days on IVs at the veterinarian's office (all there fell as madly in love with them as we did!). The poor fluffy sweeties were so sick, and it just broke our hearts with worry.
BUT -- after a few anxious days, with daily visits from all of us (of course), the puppies were chewing at their IVs and wiggling those big fluffy rear ends ready to get out and play! We picked them up, bathed them, and hugged and hugged and hugged them!! Now, these beautiful, wonderful puppies are healthy, happy, and ready to find new families with LOTS of room in their homes and in their hearts! There are two females and two males and all four puppies come with a discount coupon for training. Please email Julie (

One of the homes for the female pups did not work out so one is back up for adoption!
