Here’s our “love” story. We were found roaming in our neighborhood and picked up by animal control. Unfortunately, no one came to claim us, BUT we made our way to a no kill shelter in Illinois called The ARK. We went for a trial adoption but we found out pretty quickly that it isn’t cool to chase cats. So, here we are. Waiting for a new adopter. Now we have been at the shelter for a while. We are in a routine of staying clean in our kennel and enjoying the outdoors when given a chance. We hear that bonded dogs are difficult to adopt out. Ain’t that the truth. It’s been a while since we have been on a couch or bed or watched television. Our request for a home gets a little more complicated because we can’t be with cats, and we really don’t want the canine companions either. Romeo and Juliet are around five-years-old. Romeo is a black, shaggy terrier and weighs a little over 30 pounds. He is attentive and treat motivated. He is also the dominant dog in the pair. Juliet is a tan and black terrier. She is also attentive and the gentler personality of the pair. She weighs 46 pounds.
