My Story
Why Choose Me?
Foster update: ??Meet Kai!!??
Decided to do a little mini photo shoot of this stunning lady! Did we mention she is smart?? My daughter got an idea to train her to jump through our front yard swing....took less than 3 mins! She will sit, wait, take the jump, and then spin around to find her "person". We also found out she LOVES the water! Such a cool pup!!!
~1yr old/around 40lbs
-spayed/UTD on everything
-crate trained
-no accidents in the house
-needs some leash training (pulls, not reactive/etc),but with a little consistency, we think she will learn quickly!
-loves other dogs and loves to play! She has been a well-behaved part of playgroups at the shelter, too!
-Incredible off leash and has an excellent recall!
-really good at catching treats/toys!
-even at her young age, she has already been a mama. She was surrendered with her 2 puppies (who have already found new homes!)
-loves meeting new people/getting
cuddles!
-wonderful with kids!
-very pleasant to have in the house! Cuddly and wants to be where the people are!
-no aggression towards cats, but will play the chase game. If she catches up to them, she just runs on by...no malicious intent/etc
-ignores our livestock (horses, cows, donkeys)
-higher energy gal. I think she would love to be a running buddy or to have a job!
-not destructive
-she is a shepherd type pup. She is very intelligent and sensitive. She knows some commands and definitely learns very quickly/wants to please!
We try to be as honest as possible to make the right match for these pups! This dog is just incredible! Hands down the smartest dog we have fostered (or have owned!). If you are a shepherd/malinois type dog fan or you are just looking for that kind of training focus/drive along with the kindest temperament....this is your girl! She would also make a lovely addition to an active family! She really just needs stability, commitment, and love (don't we all??). We are enjoying having her here, but we know she will thrive in a forever home ?

Kai was surrendered with her pups Olivia and Lucas. She's a little uneasy about being in a kennel in a new place (her pups are already weaned and in the puppy room), so when I brought her puppies out for their pictures, we stopped at her gate, and that made her happy. She's a smart girl who already knows how to sit and lie down for treats. She's treat motivated and may know other commands-if not, she can certainly learn. She'd come when called, hop on the table when asked, and never hesitated to sit on command. She needs to work on her leash manners, but then again, she's in a new, loud place. I enjoyed being with Kai. She responds to praise and treats and wants a friend.
