My Story

Kallee is a sweet senior girl who was adopted out through Metropolitan Maltese Rescue about 10 years ago, and is back with us in foster care due to the death of her last family member. She is in good health and eats a prescription diet in order to prevent bladder stones. She uses wee-wee pads inside and also does her business outside. And as with many re-homed dogs will need housebreaking reinforcement in her new home so she can get used to a new time routine and a new location. Ideally, a suburban home where she is not alone for long periods of time and has a fenced-in yard would be perfect for her. She is not used to being on a leash, but training has begun on that! Kallee gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. She has never seen a cat to the best of our knowledge. She loves to sleep in bed with her humans but will also sleep in her own bed. She is good with older children. She came to us with Frick, who is also available for adoption. They do not need to be adopted together, but can be and a photo of the two of them together is included here. If you think your home is in need of one small Kallee, please submit an adoption application on our website www.mateserescue.com.
