My Story

Kanga is one of a pair of local celebrities who was found in Sandoval County. She and her father, Dozer, both have front limb deformities that could be congenital or the result of awful treatment. Kanga is the more shy of the two, but she has been becoming more bold all the time, even asking for pets! Her foster has been teaching her dog behaviors because she seemed to not understand how to be a dog - playing with toys? No clue... Working on it! Kanga is starting to learn her front wheels to help her. She will need to continue physical therapy and possible surgical intervention in the future, but Cross My Paws is committed to her care. Kanga's ideal home would be one story - her foster has a lot of gates up to block the stairs! She prefers to do her outside business on the grass, so grass or turf yard would be great! She gets along with most dogs as long as they're nice to her, but has a slight preference for male dogs. If she could go home with her daddy, Dozer, that might be awesome because we're pretty sure she's never been away from him. And most importantly: someone who will love her forever and is committed to helping her learn how to walk in her wheels. If you'd like to adopt Kanga, please fill out an application: crossmypaws.org/adopt A home visit will be required for Kanga and Dozer
