Kaplan

KAPLAN is a handsome frenchie mix who is fully vetted and is friendly and does excellent with other dogs. He's active, playful, and good with people, as well, including kids - super well-mannered. He's estimated 5-6 years old and just under 50 lbs. Cats seem to be a no for him - a little TOO interested (potentially same for very small, "cat-like" dogs - might not be a good match, either). Kaplan loves walks and is good on the leash after about 5 seconds of pulling; he's easily redirected. He loves to cuddle, get belly rubs, and give high-fives and is a great all-around dog who should have been adopted long ago as he's about perfect as long as you don't have cats! He has a prostate issue which is currently managed with meds and a “belly band”. But he’s worth any little extra work this requires! Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip at ~6 months at our clinic, $60 reimbursement for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. Dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS, and masks are welcomed but not required. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there are NO DOGS KEPT AT THE SHOP. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada -sorry!)
