Originally found as a stray, not much is known about her past. She was adopted briefly in the south, but it became clear very quickly that she thought small animals, like the kitties in the house, were for chasing. She then went into a foster home with routine and structure where she was very loved and spoiled. She was in her foster home for less than a month and thrived on a regular schedule (she will whine at the door to indicate when she needs a potty break). She loves her toys and will sleep with her favorites, and LOVES a good snuggle after playtime! She has a lot of energy to burn and would love an active home so that she can get her zoomies in (she can easily scale a fence and is not a candidate for off leash adventures as she loves to chase small creatures). She has made a few doggy pals during her time here, particularly with dogs who are high-energy, like herself, yet respectful enough as she herself is quite socially awkward. She acts a little grumpy when first meeting other dogs, but if they respect her boundaries and invite her to play, eventually she'll be zooming, play snarling, and having a blast! She is very smart and attention motivated (more than treat driven) and would love to do more advanced training, like agility or similar, after she has a refresher course for her basics, like leash walking and manners greeting other dogs on leash. Basics: Age: 3 years old D.O.B.: Approximately May 2021 Weight: 54lbs Needs: Experience with dogs is recommended. Needs an adult-only home. No apartment-style or multi-family homes. No dense neighborhoods Needs to be an only dog; can have doggy friends off-property. Cannot live with small animals, like cats. Needs a secure fenced-in yard for supervised play time. No more than 8 hours alone a day; longer would require a potty and exercise break in the middle.
