We may not know this girls story, but what we do know is that she was neglected for a long time. She came in to rescue skin and bones with fresh wounds and scars everywhere, teeth worn completely down, deformed sagging nipples from litter after litter, and filled with heartworms and intestinal parasites. She has been let down by humans in every way possible until now. This girl was so starved, not only for food, but positive human attention. You can see it as soon as you meet her. All she wants is to be with someone who will show her love, feed her and let her love them back. She had no idea how to live inside a home but her foster has shown her how. Help us show her how her life should have been and will be from now on. She is also good with other dogs. If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays with many of our adoptable dogs there. Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority & can usually take home your new best friend the same day! *Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.* **All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue.
