My Story

KATIE (AKA Misha) Misha was purchased out of the paper at 8 weeks old as a purebred Doberman pup. As you can see from the photo, she appears to be a Doberman mix, maybe mixed with Border Collie. She is now 6 months old and was given up because they just had too many animals. She lived with 2 other dogs and a few cats and had no reported problems with them. Misha is now in a foster home with a German Shepherd mix brother and loves him. She is housebroken and crate trained. She can be left uncrated for short periods of time and doesn't usually get into anything. We have to remember she is a puppy though and that is easy to forget because she is so laid back. She has great housemanners and loves to lay around in the sun. She loves to play with other dogs, but does need a few minutes to warm up to them. She is very obedient, on and off leash. She is possessive of her toys with other dogs, but only snaps to warn them. This does not carry over to people. She will let her person take anything away. Misha is working on meeting new people. She gets a bit fearful especially on lead. For the most part her foster mom has corrected her problem, but it may start up again in a new situation. She only takes a minute and then she is all wiggles. Due to her behaviors with new people we thought she would be best in a home with no small children. Email Pam at [email protected]
