This sweet gal is Katniss and she is an inhabitant of the Trenton Animal Shelter. Her eyes are windows into her soul, and you can see the questions in those liquid pools: why does she find herself in a shelter and where is her furever loving family?
Katniss is friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets, person and dog alike. She loves her people so much that she may have some separation issues in the beginning and will need to learn how to be happy and confident on her own. She previously lived in a household with other dogs so she would happily join a multi-dog household. She can get frustrated seeing other dogs while on leash, so training will teach her some skills to cope with her frustrations. It will also help this exuberant girl learn to walk nicely on leash.
Katniss will enjoy going for walks, playing with dogs, and then going back home for belly rubs and naps on the couch. She may be appropriate for households with tweens and up. If you need a BFFF (Best Furry Friend Furever) in your life, Katniss may be your girl! Contact the Trenton Animal Shelter.
