KAUAI*

Kauai may not be the biggest of the Hawaiian Islands, but our Kauai sure has the biggest (and sweetest) personality!! Heres what volunteers have said about her: Kauai is a sweet girl who is well- behaved in her kennel. She has learned a great loose leash walk and knows sit, look and come. She loves to explore and loves to play in the kiddie pool. She jumps in and out of the water, runs around and then comes back to the pool and jumps in and out again. She is very sweet and with continued training will be a wonderful companion. Kauai is a wonderful young pup. She can be very cuddly- she seeks affection and enjoys chin and ear scratches. She is a loving cuddly pup. During a very brief foster stay Kauai did well with the resident dogs. Her foster described her as friendly and loving and said that Kauai will do great with a family who has time to train her and will spend lots of time loving her. Kauai is also a field trip favorite: Kauai is very playful and extremely intelligent - would do well with someone active and an experienced dog-owner who can provide consistent follow-through on training. Quick learner and wants to please, already knows how to sit. Wants to be on all the furniture, loved sleeping on the couch. Wants to be right by your side (a certified Velcro dog). Loves toys (stuffed toys more than balls). Very observant but rarely vocal, nothing will get near your house without her knowing it! Lots of puppy energy. Not leash reactive (positively responds when seeing dogs or people), does relatively well on the leash but will pull if given leeway, especially at the beginning of the walk. Did okay in the car. Wants lots of love and attention. Kauai shares her kennel at the shelter and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure its a good fit. Ask to meet Kauai today!
