Keiko is a sweet boy who encapsulates all of the greatest traits. The most exciting parts of his day are trips outside for a nice long walk and intermittent bathroom/sniff breaks, and then returning to the couch for cuddles. He will sit and wait to have his leash put on while trying to control his enthusiasm. Afterwards, he will want to be right in your lap as close as possible to spend quality time with his human.
Keiko has been exhibited perfect house-training and potty-training in his foster home, and knows basic commands such as sit, stay and come. He is highly food-motivated and responds well despite distractions. Keiko came into the rescue with anxiety towards strangers entering his space, and will likely need positive reinforcement to ease his fears. Despite this, Keiko has successfully warmed up to everyone he has met with some treats and patience. He also does great in the car.
If you are generous enough to give Keiko a chance to get past his initial nerves, he is the most loving and loyal boy with a heart of gold and enthusiasm for any adventure that lies ahead.
