History (how did you acquire dog?):
Kella, along with her daughter, were seized by authorities after having horrendous acts perpetrated against them both. They were sent to a local kill shelter, where after their time was up, they were set to be euthanized. Both were rescued at the last moment.
Despite what she was forced to endure, Kella is a very sweet and loving girl. She holds no grudges, and wants only to be with her people and shower them with love. All she asks for in return is their love. The shelter currently has her listed as being 7 years old but based on her teeth and demeanor, we don't think she is older than 4 years.
Other important info:
If Goldilocks had been looking for a dog instead of breakfast and a bed, she would have picked Kella, who her foster mom lovingly calls Samara. Goldie seemed to be a perfectionist, so obviously she'd want a perfect dog, and Kella is as close to the much sought after happy medium as a dog can be. First, she is the right size, not too big, not too small. Her energy level is in between. She's just playful enough to have a good time with her new family, including older, responsible children. On the other hand, she is content to enjoy hanging out in the yard or on the couch. She's not much of a barker unless she wants to go out or spots a squirrel. She probably would give chase. Kella has excellent crate manners and shows no destructive tendencies. She needs some leash work as she is a puller, but she learns quickly and would make a great walking companion. A yard would be ideal, but she would also do well in an apartment with regular exercise. In other words, she is just perfect!
