Howdy! My name is Ken! I was brought in as a stray with my sister, Barbie. Last May a family adopted me, but for some reason, I was dumped back at the shelter without an explanation in April of 2023. I am a 67-pound three-year-old mixed breed. I am shy at first, but I am loyal to the end once I decide you're a friend. I DO prefer my friends to be two-legged, though. Other dogs make me a little nervous (except my sister—we get along great!). I love toys and treats, and I went through Star Mark training—that means I am super smart and know a lot of cool tricks. I would love nothing more than to have a yard to run in when I get the zoomies and a two-legged family to play and continue training with! I am currently located in Texas but available for adoption in Illinois. My out of state adoption fee is $650. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test (if over 6 months), health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative, AND transport costs! Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Your adoption application and fee will be finalized prior to transport.
