Kenai

Kenai (Key-nye) is a laid back dude! He loves to play tug of war with a rope, chase tennis balls, and loves ice cubes! Kenai also likes to play chase with his 65lb canine foster brother. Crate training has gone well and he can almost make it through the night without a potty break. He whines a little at first, but then settles down and snoozes when he cannot be supervised. Kenai will lay quietly by your feet while working at the computer, cooking in the kitchen, or watching tv. He prefers to be in the same room if possible. Kenai knows when he needs to go potty already and will let you know. He has learned "hurry up" as his potty cue and loves to be praised after he is finished. He has been leash trained in-house since hes not fully vaccinated to go on walks yet. He walks well on leash, his sit and down commands are coming along, too! Kenai has two human foster siblings 8 and 11 years old and responds well to direction from both of them. There are two larger canine foster siblings and Kenai is observant and respectful of social cues and plays well with them. He has been introduced to infants and toddlers and is very gentle and tolerant. He would make a great addition to any family! No cats at foster home. Kenai is a male Husky/Poodle Mix that was born 05/02/2024. As of 7/22, he weighed 10.8 lbs.
