Weight: Approx. 65 - 70 lbs. Ideal Home: Adults only; no kids; no cats; female dogs pending meet and greet; would love a fenced-in yard. Many dogs and cats come to HumaneCNY having suffered neglect and abuse. Kenzo is no exception, and it is not an exaggeration to say that he was on the brink of death by starvation when he was rescued by a traveling nurse, an awesome Good Samaritan, in literally the nick of time. Through heroic efforts, he was saved from a devastating fate. It took a village and a lengthy recovery period to bring him to his current condition: healthy, bright-eyed, beautiful, playful -- dare we say even rambunctious?;) -- and full of life. What Kenzo could use now is a home of his own with loving adults who will provide plenty of play and exercise; structure, routine & gentle guidance; some basic training; a safe environment; and most importantly, a lot of love and affection for this sweet, affectionate boy. He loves to run and is nonreactive when walking/running on leash. He is a big strong boy but not a puller. Treats are motivating to him so the ABC's of training should be a fun bonding experience for him and his new person/people. He loves food, toys, lucky mats, and puzzle games.
