My Story

Kilo is a sweet young dog who lived in one home his whole young life before being surrendered to PACC. He was born in that home, so is a great reminder to spay and neuter all pets to keep animals out of the shelter! Kilo was a typical bouncy puppy in that home and reportedly did well with kids and other dogs of all sizes and was described as playful and affectionate. Kilo has been lucky to spend a bit of time in a couple of different foster homes- heres what we learned: - He is well- behaved on walks after some initial excitement - He did well with kids ages 5 to 15 and was gentle and playful with them - He slept near his foster people at night - He was housebroken and did well with crate training - He loves balls and watching TV - Squishmallows have a habit of spontaneously combusting in his presence - He is cuddly, goofy, eager to please, smart, trainable, sweet, friendly, energetic, social and very happy - Hell do best in a home without cats or other small critters Kilo is a very cool, athletic dog that would thrive as an adventure partner. He has a strong need to please you and do a good job. Hes surprisingly easy to train and has learned commands like stay, leave it, down, come, and go to your crate. Two weeks ago he only knew sit. If I could keep him I totally would. Kilo walks so well on a leash. He knows basic commands and has been fine in the kennel. He plays fetch and loves to bite the hose water. We were able to bathe and brush him without a problem. He is a food grazer and does not overeat or eat too quickly. He likes to be near a person and naps at their feet. He did not bark at neighbor dogs or on walks. He did not chew anything he shouldnt; sniffed at things but never got into anything. Didn't get into trash, food, or kids toys. Really, he has been exceptionally well behaved. Here's what Kilos friends at the shelter have said: Kilo is a happy puppy who loves to play! We took he and his kennelmate to the yard twice this week. He was bouncing around and giving us play bows. Just so cute! Kilo is a friendly guy who seems like he has a pretty good idea of just how handsome he is, but I didnt let that stop me from complimenting him. He loves his treats and has an adorably crooked couple of lower teeth which give him a little bit of a droopy lower lip-so cute! He really loves treats (he`s always on the lookout for hands reaching into a pocket!) He is comfortable with physical affection and praise. I really enjoyed getting to know him. Kilo shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Hed like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure its a good fit. He likes to play in the doggy pool and has the fastest zoomies in town! Ask to meet Kilo today!
