Kimiko

Say hello to Kimiko! This clever girl was born at the Stanislaus shelter, where her mama Starlight had been dumped just days before. We were hoping Starlight could wait just one more day and give birth under our care, not alone in the scary shelter in the middle of the night. But Starlight was such a tough mama, she gave birth to nine babies all by herself. She even greeted kennel workers the next day, happily showing off her new puppies. The whole family came to us the next day. Much like her namesake, Kimiko is quiet, observant, and tough! She never makes a sound: weve never heard her bark, cry or anything! She is very smart and really watches us and the other puppies, taking everything in. Shes still a puppy of course, and loves to play and snack on treats. We think this litter are mixes of husky, Australian shepherd, and super mutt! Their dna test is at the lab, so we will know soon enough. Mama starlight is definitely a husky mix, and weighs about 40 pounds. We think the pups will be a similar size when full grown. As with all of our dogs, Pups Without Borders provides the first year of DAPP, Bordetella, rabies, microchip, spay/ neuter, etc.
