King (adoption fee reduced due to age)

*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* King is an older fellow looking for a place to retire. He still has plenty of energy for long walks, but he would love to have a family show him love one more time. We don't know much about his past (he's been with our rescue since 2021), but he has such a friendly and kind soul we believe he had to have known love before he found us. Will you give an old man a family to love on one more time? It looks like he has gone blind in one eye or has a cataract. His adoption fee has been reduced to help try and find him the home he's been waiting so long for. Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
