King is a 1 year old 13 pound yorkie mix.
Special needs King was rescued from an abusive hoarder and has issues trusting. It takes King a long time to get comfortable with new people then he sticks like glue. This little guy does not like to be picked up, so we do not recommend a household with children. Teens would be fine, adult household would be ideal. King is not a cuddle type or a lapdog. We are looking for that special adopter who will be patient with King and give him time to learn to trust. Letting him set the pace will help build a successful adoption relationship, but it will take some time.

We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.
