My Story

February 14, 2024 these 2 dogs along with 3 others were dumped near Biscayne Blvd. They were dumped in urine & feces stained crates. Their fur is "burned" (yellow) from constantly living in crates full of urine. A plea went out to help 1 or 2 at a time. Since he reminded me of a previous foster Roscoe and she reminded me of Roscoes relative Rue, I came off intake hold for them. They are adorable. They have come a long way behaviorally in the few weeks I have had them. Kirby (tricolor face) is 12-13 lbs and Kinley (white + tan) is 7-8 lbs. They are brother and sister. They have been to the vet, they have their vaccines, and they have been neutered and spayed. After speaking to two different vets, the options would be to shave them down or wait for their hair coat to grow in with lighter coloring. Neither of that feels that they need to be shaved, they have been bathed, their coats are clean but their fur is just stained. Kirby & Kinley are fostered in South Florida. apply at www.ratbonerescues.com
