Kira is our 3 Year, 78 pound German Shepherd female who came in as a stray September 2023, she quickly went into a foster home, but unfortunately they no longer could keep her so she finds herself back at the shelter. Kira is, as most GSD, very active, energetic, and also very smart! As we do not know her life prior, she is eager to learn and already knows some commands! (such as sit, down, stay) She loves playing in our play yards playing fetch, and can retrieve like no other! Kira has some reactivity to other animals so at this time, it is best that she is the only pet in the home. Kira has been friendly to all the shelter staff and volunteers here at the shelter and with each passing day, we are seeing her open up more and more. Kira is recommended for a home with teens, 16 and up.
