Please let us introduce Kita! This buff colored beauty was found abandoned. She was hungry and scared, looking for food and shelter when a Good Samaritan picked her up. She has been receiving lots of TLC in foster care waiting for a place to hang her leash forever.
Kita is between 1 and 2 years old and weighs in at 55 pounds. She a Husky mix - with a few other breeds in there for good measure. We call her a Heinz 57 pup - the best kind. See how lovingly she gazes at her human with those soft, pretty eyes...one blue, and one brown (a common husky trait)
Kita is fostered in a kennel setting and an indoor/outdoor space. This smart girl seems to be self-trained and goes to the far end of outdoor section for potty trips. She’s doing very well with her leash training and is always cooperative when it's time to return to her kennel after fun exercise sessions. She sits nicely and calmly waits for a treat.
Kita is a very friendly, sweet girl who loves every human she meets. She gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys “herding” the horses and goats in the neighboring pastures. The horses indulge her as she playfully pushes them up and down the fence line. She has not been observed with cats, but has never demonstrated any aggressive behavior toward a human or animal so we believe she could learn to coexist nicely with a dog-savvy kitty. She is eager to learn, seeks approval and settles calmly after getting in some good exercise. A rural or farm-like environment would be doggy paradise for Kita, but this darling girl will thrive most anywhere with an active family that will give her opportunities for exercise and take her on fun adventures..
Kita has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccinations. Her doggy bag is packed and she’s ready to head for her forever home.
