My Story

Klaus A426522 is in a foster home! Contact his foster to inquire about adoption. Contact is [email protected] or 405 761 0688 "Your dog is for you to love, not for other people to love" Our friend told us this and it resonated with us and Klaus. Are you looking for the perfect cuddle buddy? Meet Klaus! He would love a pet parent(s) that understands he is a shy and scared boy, and it will take some time for him to get out of his shell in his new home. But once he does, you won't regret the wait! Klaus is a 65 lb Shepard mix that is extremely loving & playful once comfortable. Klaus is as sweet as they come, he knows commands like sit, down, stay, and this smart cookie has completed the basic course at Full Circle Obedience. He will start another more advanced course soon. He goes to daycare once a week at Wright Way to socialize with other dogs and he LOVES IT once he remembers there is nothing to be scared of! Besides his daily walk with his humans, he does a once a week 1 hr walk with Megan Francis (OK Humane) where he is slowly making progress at warming up to her. He is still scared of new places, and he enjoys calm walks around the neighborhood without too many people (which by the way, he is great on the leash!), instead of busy dog parks or patios. He will sleep in his crate all night, and he would prefer if his crate is in his human's bedroom; you won't even notice he is there because he is so good and quiet in it! He is potty trained if taken out on a regular schedule, house trained with enough toys to keep him busy, and loves to cuddle with his humans. He would love and might do best with a canine brother or sister to play with. We don't have any kids or cats, but due to his scared nature, it will be best if he is in a quiet home without kids. During walks, it appears he wants to chase cats, so we recommend a home without cats. He currently lives with a blind pit mix, a small 8 lb maltese, and 2 foster babies (mutts) 6 week old and does great with all of them. Klaus has made SO much progress in the time he has been with us, and we are so excited and hopeful to see the progress he will continue to make! We love him so much and want to find the perfect quiet and patient home for him. Klaus is neutered, utd on vaccines & microchipped. His adoption fee is currently waived. Contact his foster to meet him! [email protected] or 405 761 0688
