My Story
06/07/24 04:42 DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I: met a new friend, and I was so excited that I jumped right into the car to go on my adventure. We went to Almaden Lake Park, where I had so much fun. My new friend took me on a really long walk, and I met many people, kids, bikes, and dogs. I got nervous the first time a bike passed by, but my new friend offered me a treat every time a bike passed, and I got used to it. Despite the bustling activity of people and kids running around, I remained calm. I only got excited when I saw a dog walk by and wanted to go say hi to them. I like to sniff and look at everything. Later, I enjoyed a delicious pup cup at Starbucks and spent some time there. On the way back to the shelter, I took a long, peaceful nap in the car, feeling calm and relaxed throughout the ride. Three Words to Describe Me are: Playful, Sweet, Fun Notes from My Walker: Knight was an absolute pleasure to be with today! He was so excited when he was first brought out and wiggled his tail the whole time. He jumped into my car, ready for the adventure. He enjoys car rides, and we had a long walk at Almaden Lake Park. When dogs passed by, he would pull the leash and want to play with them. When kids and people passed by, he remained calm. The first time a bike passed by, he got nervous, but when I offered him treats along the way, he stayed calm. He has a very low prey drive, as we passed by some ducks and geese, and he showed no desire to chase or even watch them. Later, we went to get a pup cup, which he loved, and he remained calm on the Starbucks patio. 12/12/23 19:02 Knight - A1304804 Meet Knight, the charismatic canine with ears that steal the show! I jumped right into the car and was great for the drive. I was so excited when I got there, I jumped right out of the car and began sniffing all the things! Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet Fun Playful Notes from My Walker: This sweet and fun boy did so well. He loves to sniff, but doesnt pull hard, he walked so well on the leash! He does get overly excited by dogs going by, but after practicing sit and getting a treat, he quickly learned the drill and had no barking and minimal pulling as dogs passed by him. He didnt mind bikes, strollers, runners and even some people who were playing bag pipes! He loves to roll - in the dirt, in the bark, in the grass - he just loves to roll around! We did around 4 miles and when I put Knight on the long lead leash to play in the grass, he had funny and playful zoomies. He has young and fun energy, but great manners and has a great sit. Knight would love an active family who can continue to train him since hes a young boy who is very eager to please! 10/17/23 14:24 Front of kennel, able to leash and take out without any issues.
