Introducing Kobe, a dainty terrier mix with a spirit as resilient as it is tender. Weighing in at a delicate 35lbs, this young pup, born in December 2021, has already shown us the strength of his character. Kobe, alongside his siblings Remy and Gigi, found sanctuary with us after their previous owner, with a heavy heart, sought our help to find them the loving homes they deserve. Kobe’s early days at the shelter were shadowed by uncertainty, his anxiety palpable in the unfamiliar surroundings. But as days turned into weeks, Kobe’s trust in our care blossomed, revealing a curious and eager soul. The concept of a leash was foreign to him, yet with each day, his confidence grows, and his leash skills along with it. His journey with the leash is ongoing, and we’re excited to see it continue in his forever home. His motivation? Treats! And lots of them. This makes Kobe an excellent student for learning new commands and delightful tricks, promising endless fun and bonding for him and his future family. However, Kobe does guard his meals—a reminder of his past struggles. He’ll need a patient family that understands his need for a safe space to dine alone. We hope that with time and love, he’ll learn that there’s plenty to go around. Kobe’s impeccable kennel manners give us great hope for a smooth transition to house training in a home environment. He has met several dogs and we think he would do well with dogs that match his energy level and play style. Cats are waaaaaay too tasty, so he does need a feline free home. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
