Kona is a 6 year old Redbone girl waiting in the Houston area for a new home. In good weight at 72 lbs, she is good with other dogs and children. Kona is housetrained, cratetrained and is leashtrained with a Gentle Leader. She has learned to be non-reactive on her walks when she meets another dog on a leash; however, if the other dog is ill-mannered, she will react. Kona has a high prey drive and loves a "hunting" session around the house or outside for treats. In typical coonhound fashion, she is smart and stubborn at the same time and enjoys showing off her commands. She rides well in a car but will bay upon arrival if it's a place that she likes. Kona is too vocal for apartment or close urban living, especially if a squirrel needs to be chased. Kona would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and regular exercise.
