The key to Kristy's heart is a solid routine, and lots of exercise. If you're looking for someone to keep you company, and keep you in shape - Kristy is definitely your girl! Kristy is currently being foster by a trainer, which has greatly impacted her day to day life. Kristy has learnt self control, and lots of social skills during her time in foster. Play is definitely the name of the game for this sweet girl, and boy does she have energy to burn! We have found that Kristy does best with young male dogs similar to her size and energy levels. That being said, Kristy would also do okay with submissive females. Due to her breed, Kristy is a loud girl by nature. She is working hard at learning to be quieter - but still likes to let her humans know with barking when someone or something is coming near. While in our care, Kristy's foster has been helping her with her reactivity and behaviours. We find that with a good amount of exercise, Kristy starts to build trust and listens much better. Kristy does walk well on leash, and the use of a weighted backpack has worked wonders on keeping her attention away from any potential distractions. Kristy is friendly towards all people; and is always looking for attention and affection. Kristy has been failed previously in her life, and always left to her own devices. However, once your trust is established- you are sure to have a friend for life. Ultimately Kristy is still a young pup, who is learning about life, and is full of love to offer.
