My Story

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION IN THE DOG'S PROFILE, AS WELL AS THE INFORMATION ON OUR WEBSITE BEFORE EMAILING US WITH QUESTIONS. Our Volunteers use up valuable time answering questions, when the answers are readily available on our website. Our adoptions come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. We are a foster-based rescue. We do not have a facility. MEET & GREETS FOR DOGS IN ONTARIO WILL ONLY BE ARRANGED ONCE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IS APPROVED. THANK YOU!!! Please visit our website for more information: https://www.niagaradogrescue.com/ or fill in our adoption application: https://niagaradogrescue.com/adoption-application.php OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found. Will get in on her own. Destructive: no, but is crated when we are not home Needs a home with a yard: no, but would be nice; otherwise she would need lots of walks Needs a home with another dog: not necessarily, but she’d really love someone to play with. Can live in an apartment: with enough walks and exercise. If apartment living is selected it should be in a more rural area vs metropolitan area History (how did you acquire dog?): She was rescued from a high kill shelter Other important info: Hi! I’m Krystal! I start out shy and reserved but once I know you (and it doesn’t take long, especially if there are treats involved!) I’m a wiggly bundle of love. I adore my humans, and will cuddle and snuggle wherever they are. I get the bouncy zoomies when I’m excited to see you come home or first thing in the morning and I love to run around the yard with some dog friends, but I’m also good when they tell me “no thanks.” I use my crate when my people are busy or not home, and I’m learning to tell them I need to go potty by standing at the door. Once I’ve had my potty break and some zoomies, I love to come back inside and chill with my favorite Nylabone. I’m shy with new people, but if my family helps me say hi to them I’m more confident. The big world is scary! I ride in the car like a pro, and I’ll go explore the parks and breweries with you, but I’d prefer to snuggle on the couch 1-1. I would prefer more low key household vs large super busy family type setting. Thank you and I can’t wait to meet you!
