Lacey - AD 11/06

ADOPTED 11/06!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11/9/06 Foster update: Lacey is doing very well in her foster home in Terryville, CT. She LOVES to play with all the dogs there and has a BLAST doing so! Lacey is very smart very high energy girl who exemplifies the sporting breed dog. She would probably have made an excellent bird dog - she has a great drive and determination. Her temperment is more Toller than Golden in terms of her drive, but her ability to roll with all the punches is very Golden! She takes whatever her foster dog buddies dish out and LOVES it! Lacey needs a lot of work on the lead and training with her will be a necessitity - and very rewarding. She's one cool dog! If you are an active person or family and are looking for a hiking, jogging or walking partner - look no further than our Lacey!

Lacey is a 19 month old 65-70 pound Golden/Duck Toller mix who is a moderate to high energy girl who came into rescue with a heartworm infection. She is very good with other dogs and is learning how to walk on a lead. She is good with cats and seems to be good with older kids. She is a very, very sweet girl who gets excited but who calms down to let you just love her all over! She spent her previous life tied to a tree so we are looking for a home for this baby girl with a fenced in yard so she can romp and play to her heart's content!
