My Story

Female, 2 years old, 52 lbs Personality: gentle, adaptable, easygoing, shy Fetch yourself a new best friend: Lady! She adores meeting new people and dogs alike, always looking for a buddy to play with. She's slowly coming out of her shell, and is quickly proving to be a truly special dog. Lady usually spends her days peacefully napping until it's time for her next adventure. She walks beautifully on a leash, never pulling, and finds comfort in her crate during the day while her foster fam works. Lady is wonderful with other dogs and with children, displaying a curious but soft nature. She loves to investigate new environments and take in all the sights and sounds. While she wasn't initially interested in toys, she has discovered a love for fetching. This newfound playful side adds even more charm to her personality! Lady enjoys daily walks and mental stimulation from food puzzles. She is making great progress on housetraining - she is mostly reliable and knows to go outside. This well mannered doggo only makes noise when she really needs attention or wants to go out. Her gentle, friendly demeanor makes her an easy, ideal addition to any family. Apply today to meet this lovely Lady! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
