My Story
Meet Laila, a gorgeous pup adorned with striking black and white markings that ensure she never goes unnoticed. At just over 5 months old, Laila is transitioning from puppyhood, her baby teeth making way for a strong set of adult ones. Currently tipping the scales at 40-45 lbs, she's expected to grow into a substantial companion, likely reaching or exceeding 60 lbs. Though her exact breed mix is a mystery without a DNA test, her sleek physique and keen senses suggest a blend of Pointer and Lab.
Laila’s story begins as a mystery; she was discovered as a stray alongside her sister, Lacie. After her sister found a home, Laila faced two long months in a shelter before moving into a foster home. Now, she’s learning the ropes of domestic bliss, soaking up every lesson on what it means to belong in a loving home environment.
Embodying the quintessential puppy spirit, Laila brims with playful energy and endless curiosity. She is searching for a patient and committed owner ready to guide her through the essentials of obedience training, socialization, and potty training—essential steps on her path to becoming a well-rounded gal. She’s a pro on the leash and revels in her walks, showing off her friendly demeanor towards other dogs, regardless of their age or size. Although she can be a bit shy around overly playful or larger dogs, her confidence is budding with each positive interaction.
Laila has limited exposure to children, but her gentle nature shines at offsite events, where she interacts splendidly with kids. She’s the ideal addition to a family that understands the playful and sometimes nippy behavior of a growing pup. At home, Laila is a total water bug, delighting in splashes in the kiddie pool and cuddles after play. Though she may be a touch shy, her sweet, gentle demeanor is heartwarming, and she’s poised to blossom with an owner who can boost her confidence and shower her with affection.
As a young dog with loads of potential, Laila will thrive in a setting that appreciates the joys and responsibilities of raising a spirited canine. Regular outings, whether for potty breaks or playful adventures, are crucial, as she's best suited to an environment where she isn't left alone for extended periods. Her ideal home would offer a yard, preferably fenced, to accommodate her size and energy. Due to her expected size, apartment living isn’t suitable for her.
Requirements for Adopting Laila:
-No apartments or condos.
-Must have a yard, ideally fenced.
-Experience with active/large breeds is beneficial but not required.
Laila is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and on monthly prevention. She’s more than ready to find her forever home and become a beloved part of your family.

All dogs are located in Texas and will be transported ONLY after adoption, with transportation costs included in the adoption fee. While we make educated guesses about the breed based on their features and characteristics, we encourage adopters to focus on a dog's personality, behavior, and compatibility with their lifestyle rather than breed labels.
