My Story

This is LAILA! She is ~9 months old and 45 lbs as of mid-March 2023. We think she’s a lab mix! Laila is a smiley princess! She loves to cuddle, seeks human and dog affection. She is very playful and enjoys playing with her chew toys! She is also fairly quiet and we think she’s do well in an apartment! She quietly smiles while observing her foster mom clean! She will also listen when told not to do something. She aims to please! She is a chill kind of girl! She would be good with children but we think older children would be best since she’s still an active puppy. She loves meeting new people and is friendly with strangers! She loves to sneak her big kisses if you bend down to pick something up. Her favorite past time is to to run in the backyard with her doggie friends! Her best foster friend, Maple, who you see in one of the pictures is also up for adoption so if you are looking for two dogs, please consider them together! She's a sweetheart! She is spayed, 4dx (heartworm) negative and up to date on vaccines. Please ask about videos of her if interested! We have many! If you feel that Laila is a good fit for you/your family, please complete an application from our site, miraclesforsatosrescue.org. We are happy to answer any questions, and provide further photos and video of any dog of interest! Feel free to email us: [email protected] ______________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico and will be flown over to NY/NJ once adopted. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopters home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
