Laney is another hound who came in with a big HW on her sides (see Heidi). While she wasn't skinny like Heidi (whom we believe might just be her mother or aunt), Laney had a bad case of heartworms. She has finished her treatment and is healthy again but she very much learned to appreciate the soft life, like lingering on the sofa or chair as much as she can. This is not a very active dog and her waistline is showing it. Laney is good with dogs, cats and kids but would make a great companion for a quiet, working single or couple who would like a big dog to cuddle with but without the activity desires of most large dogs. (She does walk well on a leash.) Laney has graduated into a full-fledged princess and she likes it that way! For more information, call 540-967-0440.
