Larry/Lawrence is a (neutered, maybe young adult?) 45# ball of affection. He came to me as a patient after his third time being mauled by other dogs in foster care. It took a few weeks, but I managed to keep him 4-legged and got him healed up. I pulled him from a rescue rescue for fear of him falling into the same horror situation again. Larry's an absolute sweetheart, and if he didn't have his particular history of having trouble with other dogs, he'd be part of my clan right now. He hasn't shown apparent dog-aggression (he does get excited), but we haven't chanced it. He has been playing nice with the clinic cats! He IS a behavior case. He gets nervous, and he needs to be with someone who understands dog-handling and behavior. POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT ONLY. He's intensely affectionate, playful, forgiving, and loyal. He was the light of my days as an inpatient, even while I was having to debride 10+ wounds and a necrosing muscle on a daily basis. He's healthy now; possibly a sensitive stomach but hard to say whether stress-related. Sensitive skin, but not more than the typical pittie. Loves toys, loves food, loves cuddles most. Trains well. Larry would be so grateful for a suitable foster home at this point, but we'd of course be over the moon if we could find his forever family!
