Leia was surrendered to our rescue when she needed a foreign body surgery after ingesting fabric that nearly cost her her life. She is an absolute sweetheart and can melt your heart with those brown puppy eyes of hers. If she could choose how to spend her day it'd be spent cuddling on the couch and getting lots of attention. She has a goofy puppy personality, but upon first meeting her she is very shy and timid and needs a little time to warm up to new people. Because of her fearfulness, we do not recommend a home with small children. Due to Leia's history and her being a young puppy, she needs to be closely supervised when it comes to anything with stuffing, fabric or anything that can be easily ingested. She is doing amazing with potty and kennel training, but she would definitely benefit being adopted by someone that is able to give her the time and attention she requires. All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need.
