May the force will you to adopt Leia! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Introducing Princess Leia, the canine princess of our galaxy! Meet Princess Leia, the ultimate cuddlebug and people-oriented pup! This petite leader of the Rebel Alliance thrives on human companionship and is extremely well behaved. Wherever you go in the house, you can bet she'll be right behind you, ready for treats or some quality snuggle time. More adorable photos can be found on her Instagram: princess_leia_the_pittie. Princess Leia is a master of the art of relaxation. She lives for those cozy nap sessions and believes that short walks are the perfect excuse for even more snoozing. If you're in need of a furry coworker, she's your girl! During your Zoom meetings she'll happily nap in your office or in her crate, occasionally waking up for a frozen treat or a stimulating food puzzle. Princess Leia enjoys leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. She has impressive leash manners and loves to sniff, which means a nice, easy pace for both humans and canine. Food is the way to Princess Leia's heart-she's incredibly food motivated, making training a breeze! Her favorite treats include yogurt and cheese, but she's always eager to try new snacks (please no veggies though). She excels at the sit command, and understands down and leave it. We are currently working on drop it/fetch, and crate. Princess Leia is well-behaved and house trained. At night, she sleeps in a crate in her foster parents' bedroom. She has no resource guarding, does not engage in crazy jumping on furniture, and does not chew on anything that she shouldn't. With low to medium energy levels, leisurely sniffing walks, doggie playdates, and frozen treats are easy ways to burn off her energy. In her previous foster home she lived with another dog and a cat. Potential adopters will want to continue working on her confidence and independence. She is spayed. Princess Leia is sure to bring balance to the Force in her furever home. Could that be with you?
