Adoption Application is on our webpage here - www.ckanimalrescue.com Leo is a spunky young boy who found himself in a shelter due to his former owners not having enough time for him. He spent 8 to 9 hrs alone every day. He is also listed as yorkie/pom mix. He is a bigger boy around 22 lbs. He is in a foster home with other dogs and actively tries to get one of the older dogs to play with him but they have no interest. Leo would do well with a younger playmate or he can also entertain himself as well on his own. He does love to wrestle and have fun! He loves to hang out with his foster family. Leo is still a bit puppy doing puppy behaviours, so someone with patience for puppy behaviours is a must. Estimated Year of birth - July 2021 Leo can be a bit shy when he first meets someone and it takes a little bit for him to warm up. When he first went to his foster home, he had no interest in food or treats, he would stand by the gate. Since he has settled in, he is a great eater and loves treats! He tends to bark at cats in the foster home so a home without cats is preferred. He also was used to taking several walks a day when able. He is a very smart guy who knows where his harness is and will do his best to get it off the shelf to give a hint he is ready to go for a walk! He is very good on a leash. And rides well in a car, this boy is ready for an adventure anytime! He used to live with a family with a 6 yr old. Since being with our rescue, he has not been around children. Because he does get excited and jumps up on his hind legs, only an adult or adult with children over 10 will be considered. Puppy behaviours include chewing stuffy toys, humping beds. When another dog in his foster home has a toy he wants, he sounds aggressive wanting the toy but his tail is wagging the entire time.
