Hello, My Name is Leo. My foster family calls me “Leo the Lionhearted” because I was rescued from a dog hoarding situation where I was kept in a crate that didn’t allow me to sit up or turn around ever since I was a puppy. The doctor says that I am between 1 and 2 years old and I am still a puppy at heart. I LOVE my toys! I don’t want to sound proud, but my foster family says that I am the greatest dog ever. There are no “accidents” in the house and I will even tell you when I need to go out by going to the door. Great, right? I am friendly with people and other dogs, although be patient, I am a little shy at first as I am just beginning to figure the world out. I went from living in a cage for over a year to being so happy to be enjoying life free to walk around and play with my foster brothers and sisters. I am sooo ready to live my best life ever with a place to call home. My foster family says if you are looking for a calm, loving dog that only barks to alert, then I’m your guy. Since being with my foster family, I have learned how to sit for treats and meals and I never jump on anyone! Fetch is one of my favorite games and I’ll probably go swimming if you will. Adoption $400 All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online. Our application process: FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue. SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc. If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again.
